% Arabica Arashiyama located in Kyoto is a branch of % Arabica chain. This coffee chain started back in Feb 2013 when the founder ("Kenneth Shoji") opened his first flagship store in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong. However as its location pose quite a challenge in attracting consumers hence the store was moved to Higashiyama, Kyoto in February 2014 where it established it's coffee brand.
After doing our sightseeing at the nearby spots ie. Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Arashiyama Monkey Park, Tenryū-ji, and while we were walking towards the Togetsu-kyō bridge, we chanced upon this % Arabica outlet located just next to the Katsura River.
Even though it was a Monday (weekday) morning, however there was still a queue. The wait was not long though and I managed to get my coffee within a wait of 10 mins or so.

The outlet is relatively small and there isn't much seating space hence we ordered a takeaway cup, sipping and enjoying the scenic view as we stroll along the river.

JPY 500
Items on their menu include espresso, americano, caffe latte, lemonade which you can then either choose either to have it hot or iced, blend or single origin.
I decided to get their Iced Cafe Latte (as shown in the picture above). This coffee joint focuses on the quality of roasting and the coffee beans are roasted on the premises to keep its freshness. Japan is known for more of it's tea culture then its coffee culture however what surprised me was that the aroma and taste of this coffee was so amazingly smooth!
Final Verdict: 4 out of 5!
